Golf began in Chile during the1850s when a group of Englishmen were exploring southern South America. They founded the Playa Ancha Golf Club and the Granadilla Golf Club, forever making Chile a golfing destination. In order to play on one of Chiles 58 terrific courses, which are all private, you must be a registered member of one of the clubs or a registered guest of a participating hotel. Green fees are reasonable, priced approximately at $70 for 18 holes.
If you are traveling to Rancagua, try the Coya Club de Campo. It is a 6,550 yard, 18 hole course, with a par of 72. It is extremely accommodating for business groups, conventions, and weddings. The course rests beside a beautiful mountain range. Be sure to take tons of pictures!

Lee Westwood hooked his drive on the 13th hole into a crowd of folks at the Ritz Charlton Golf Course as a part of the Accenture Match Play Championship.
This is maybe not news but where the ball landed is incredible..... The ball somehow made it's way into a woman's shirt as seen in the video below.
What would have been funnier is if the lady would have taken a run towards the green and dropped the ball there or even dropped it in the hole :)
